Welcome To The Xpresit Network Files Archive

On this page you can download the files on the left hand side, but reading and scrolling further will provide you with information on what these files are and the purpose they serve. The ones closest to the top of the list are of course files that might be needed by most Administrators, Sysops and Webmasters for joining their online server into Xpresit - so that their users may participate.

Xpresit currently supports FTN, QWK and NNTP Networking to BBSes and Servers. Both phpBB and SMF have addons that allow them to participate using NNTP Format. If you know of any other web based BBS Software that have addons allowing the syndication of forums through standard protocols, please let us know.

XPRESIT.TXT

This file is used by Synchronet to import the message areas, along with most of the configuration for those areas. To import you will need to load SCFG, create the Xpresit Net Message Conference -- and within the setup for that conference select the optiom described as "Import SUBS.TXT".

XPRESIT.NA

This file is used by FTN Syndicated Public Mail Tossers for importing the Message Areas for Xpresit Net into the configuration of the software. Many different FTN Softwares support this feature -- how it is used and where the feature is located may vary between different softwares.

FTN Nodelist

The current Xpresit Network Nodelist for Tosser, Mailer and BBS Softwares that require one.

Xpresit Network Infopack

This is an archive of all of the updated configuration files, updated nodelist and several other things that an Administrator, Sysop or Webmaster would need -- in the form of a mirror copy of this website -- as well as some ANSI and SVGA Logo Graphics that you may feel free to use.

Newssync for phpBB

NNTP Syndicate for SMF

This mod allows you to have new topics on your forum syndicated to one or more NNTP newsgroups. Seeing as Xpresit Net is capable of using NNTP (Network News Transfer Protocol), this mod should work fine. NNTP is not limited to just Usenet Newsgroups. NNTP is a Transport Protocol for Syndicated Public Messages.

* Enable/disable the entire NNTP Syndicate system with ease.
* Post to an open newserver (port 119) or secure newserver (port 563 w/ authentication).
* Each board may post to it's own set of newsgroup(s).
* Customize the text used when posting to the newsgroup. Allows you to embed the subject, body and/or link of the forum topic into the post.
